Disney World Florida
We had to go to my brothers wedding in Aruba. That is pretty much the furthest you can travel from Phuket. So to make up for all those hours in the plane to our daughter, and to break up flights, we decided to go to Disney World in Florida. We first stayed a few days in Miami, visited the famous Miami beach and went to the Everglades. Then we drove up to Orlando. We stayed at the Double Tree on Buena Vista Lake, which was perfect with the kids as the room had a separate living and sleeping area and a little kitchenette with micro wave.
At Disney we went to the Hollywood Studios on the first day, on day two to Magic Kingdom and on the last day we went to Animal Kingdom. If you are planning to do more parks check the activity schedule beforehand. Not on all days there are evening parades and fireworks, and you don't want to miss those.
MyDisneyExperience is a free app that will help you plan your activities and see the waiting times at the attractions. There is free WIFI at all parks, I can highly recommend to download the app so you can get the most out of your visit.
All the parks are amazing, well set up and so much fun. You can cover most of The Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom in one day. But if you want to see everything at Magic Kingdom you need more than a day, two or maybe even three. We spend most of our time in the Fantasy land section (most suited for young kids) and did not see much of the other areas.
Our daughter just turned 3 when we visited the park and we believe this is a good age for her to experience the parcs to the fullest. The smile on her face when she met the princesses were well worth the money spend. Our baby of 9 months also came along but was still to young for most attractions. She did however love seeing all the characters and since our trip her Minnie Mouse plush toy is her favourite.
